Venture firm Andreessen Horowitz contributed $50 million to the AI-industry-focused Leading the Future super PAC and $47.5 million to the cryptocurrency-focused Fairshake super PAC, plus over $1 million to the RNC and MAGA Inc., totaling $93.8 million in disclosed 2026 midterm-cycle political spending -- reported as the largest of any single donor tracked for the cycle -- aimed at electing candidates favorable to light-touch AI and crypto regulation.

In March 2025, Andreessen Horowitz paused its Talent x Opportunity (TxO) fund, which since 2020 had supported 60+ companies from underserved communities including women and minority founders. Several employees were laid off in October 2024. The Fearless Fund lawsuit created legal precedent making such programs 'extremely vulnerable.'
