In May 2024, the US Department of Justice and attorneys general from 40 states filed a landmark antitrust lawsuit against Live Nation Entertainment, alleging the company used its monopoly power to suppress competition in the live entertainment industry. The suit claims Live Nation leveraged its control of Ticketmaster, concert venues, and artist management to lock out competitors and inflate prices for consumers. Trial is scheduled for March 2026.
