Salesforce—Salesforce offered to relocate employees out of Texas after SB-8 anti-abortion law passed
On September 10, 2021 Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff publicly announced via Slack message to all 56,000 employees that the company would relocate any employees and their families out of Texas if they were concerned about access to reproductive care following Texas's Senate Bill 8 (the six-week abortion ban). The announcement was among the first major corporate responses to a state abortion restriction and was followed by similar pledges from Apple, Microsoft, Meta and others post-Dobbs.
